With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Gilmore of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on August 20, 2020 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Joseph Kessel and Katherine Platt Kessel; her husband Irving Robert Gilmore; and her sister Miriam Lee Lazo. She is survived by: her children, Stephen Henry Gilmore of Blackshear and Julie Gilmore Brock of Blackshear. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
