She was predeceased by: her parents, Hasson Davenport and Wilma Hedden Davenport; her husband Billy Poteete of Poteete's General Merchandise; and her son Marty Poteete. She is survived by: her sons, Larry (Stacey Poteete), Terry (LuAnn Poteete) and Jim Poteete of Blairsville; her sisters, Nora Saxon of Cumming, GA. and Patsy Hedden of Kennesaw, GA.; her grandchildren, Kristen (Marty Kronz), Justin (Lauren Duncan), Matthew (Ashley Poteete), Emily (Parker Rozelle), Brandon (Hannah Poteete), Erin (Dustin Garlin) and Braden Poteete (Coleson Daniel); and her great grandchildren, Harlan, Jackson, Koa, Kacyn, Karsyn and Brady.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel (78a Butternut Crossing, Blairsville, GA 30512).
Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests donations may be made to Mt. Zion Church cemetery fund or to Station # 4 Volunteer Fire Department in Barbra's memory.
