She was predeceased by: her parents, Col. Earl Lenward Shepherd and Linda Grubbs Shepherd; her brother Robert L. Shepherd; her daughter Cindi Butler Wheatley (Patrick); and her niece Susan Shepherd McNutt (Chris).
She is survived by: her husband Joseph B. Butler; her daughter Terri Butler Johnson (Jerry) of Hiram; her granddaughter Caryn Stamey Mills (Scott) of Douglasville; her sister-in-law Beverly Shepherd; her sibling's children, Nancy Shepherd Lesser (Craig) and Scott Shepherd of Nashville; and her cousin Mike Grubbs of Sarasota, Fla..
Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
