He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester M. Stearns, Sr. and Mildred Godsel Stearns; and his son Edwin A. Stearns, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jimmie Ruth Stearns; his son Phillip; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Stearns; his son Charles; his daughter-in-law Kim Stearns; and his grandchildren, Channin Stearns, Amber Stearns, Michelle Stearns, Edwin Allan Stearns, III, Jessica Stearns and Kristine Stearns.
