He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Burkart and Rosamond Burkart; and his brother Charles. He is survived by: his wife Molly Lillich Burkart; his sons, Robert and Thomas; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew and Evelyn.
They moved to Alpharetta and to the TVA Lake Nottely midway through the pandemic.
