He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Willy Starke II and Elizabeth Gober Starke; and his son Carey Starke. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Cahill Starke of Cherry Log; his children, Eric Starke of Morganton, GA. and Rebecca Hubner of Morganton; his brother Mayes; his sister-in-law Kim Starke of Chattanooga, TN.; and his grandchildren, Casey, Mason, Gavin and Anthony.
