He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jim Townsend and Elizabeth Townsend; his wife Jo Ann Nix Townsend of Copperhill, TN; his children, Greg Townsend, Deb Couey of Kennesaw, GA, Gerald Townsend of Chestnut Mountain, GA and Donna Konieczny (Larry) of Marietta, GA.; his grandchildren, Sarah Couey, Aaron Couey (Savanna), Joseph Konieczny (Rachel), Alex Konieczny and Kendall Konieczny; his great grandchildren, Henry Konieczny, Levon Metzer and Lalena Couey; and his sister Grapelle Thompson. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
