It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donnis Been in Blue Ridge, Georgia, born in Hacker Valley, West Virginia, who passed away on April 20, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elza Cowger and Flora Cowger (Anderson); and her husband Warren Been of Pickens, WV.. She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Peters (Bill) of Charleston, WV and Jan Wehby (Sam) of Woodstock, GA; and her granddaughters, Kristi Maddox (Michael) of Charleston, WV, Ami Reichner (Phillip) of Charleston, SC and Alison Johnson (Aaron) of Canton, GA. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that was dear to Donnis' heart and to which she frequently donated.
