She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Thomas and Pearl Aileen Clayton Thomas; her siblings, Eddie Thomas and Fannie; and her brother-in-law Danny Garrett.
She is survived by: her husband L. C. Fortenberry; her son Jeryl; her daughter-in-law Kayla Fortenberry; her daughter Kerri; her son-in-law Lee Dixon; her grandchildren, Taylor Kellow (Mollie Liestra), Hannah White (Avery), Bryson Fortenberry, Seth Kellow, Brady Ramey, Mason Ramey, Carter Kellow and Savannah Kellow; her great grandchild Hudson Kellow; and her siblings, Dorothy, Joe Dillard, Nathan and Nancy Thomas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
