With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Butts of Bogart, Georgia, born in Rochester, New York, who passed away on December 10, 2021 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Butts to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Butts and Susie Butts; his wife Velma Walton Butts; and his brothers, Lawrence and Paul Butts.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Butts Montgomery and Douglas Butts (Tami); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Scheine (Mike), Christine Eickstead (Andrew), Patrick Butts and Rachel Butts; his great grandchildren, Sarah, Callie, Andrew Scheine, Kylie and Austin Eickstead; and his nephews, Ronnie, Gary and Jeff Butts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the African Missions Fund at St. James United Methodist Church in Athens, GA.
