She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hammond and Daisy Culver Hammond; her husband William Charlie Burgess; her siblings, Donnie, Lamar Hammond and Edna Duffell; and her grandson Chad Burgess.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Colley and Charles Burgess (Patta Wolford). She is also survived by 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
