He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Vick Boyd and Sarah Jane Barnard Boyd; his sister Barbara Puckett; his brother-in-law Hayden Whitmire; and his great-niece Emily Caldwell.
He is survived by : his sisters, Helen Whitmire and Patricia (Jimmy Patterson); his stepgrandchildren, Patty Olivia Gladden, Suzanna Alexus Gladden and Haley Margaret Elizabeth Gladden; and his close friend David Loyd. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
