She was predeceased by : her parents, Homer Carter and Viola Wright; and her son Stevie Pethel. She is survived by : her children, Keith Pethel and Karen Allen; her adoptive daughter Nikole Beck; her husband James Kennaday; and her grandchildren, Zack Pethel, Mandi Belin, Sabrina LaCount, Hope Beck, Faith Beck and Dylan Beck. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

In lieu of flowers love offerings may be donated to the family.
