He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Willis Marion Nettum and Margie Plymate Nettum; his wife Brooks Nettum; his son Dr. Lee Everett (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Whittaker and Palmer; his sister Mary N. Scruggs; his son Bill Nettum; his brother Joe Nettum; and his grandson Lucas Everett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Episcopal Church, Sumter Players Community Theater or the Americus Kiwanis Club.
