He is survived by: his parent Eliza Byrd Atkinson; his children, Gayle Atkinson Ball (John) of Savannah, GA, Steve Atkinson (Lola) of Broxton, GA, Jimmy Atkinson (Tracie) and David Atkinson (Angie) of Broxton, GA; his grandchildren, Clay Collier (Heather), Pia Morris (Tom), Kristin Atkinson, Tiffany Atkinson, Jesse Atkinson, Logan Alana and Leana Atkinson; and his great grandchildren, Matthew Collier, Walker Bennett, Abigail Morris, Tyson Cook, Maggie Cook and Bentley Atkinson.
