He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse James and Sarah Hutto Harper; and his former wife Mary Faye Harper. He is survived by: his wife Tara Lynn Mason Harper of Broxton, GA; his children, Charlene Brannigan (Mike) of Warner Robins, GA, Clyde DeWayne Harper (Christine) of Broxton, GA and James Roland Harper of Broxton, GA; his stepchildren, Robin Hughes Middleton (Jared) of Dexter, GA and Jason Wade Hughes of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Kristin Burkett (Brandon) of Douglas, GA, Richard Young of Douglas, GA and Jake Spivey of Broxton, GA; and his stepgrandchildren, Caleb Middleton and Jesse Middleton. He is also survived by four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
