She was predeceased by: her parents, June T. Powell and Mille Jane Stapleton Powell; her husband Loyce Freddy Burkett Sr.; her son Gerald Burkett; and her grandsons, Jeffrey Roberts, Jake DeWayne Burkett and Jose Guerrero.
She is survived by: her children, Beatrice Roberts of Douglas, GA, Carolyn Guerrero of Douglas, GA, Loy Burkett (Brenda) of Broxton, GA and Royce Burkett (Susan) of West Green, GA; and her brother Dennis June Powell of Douglas, GA. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
