He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Judy Ann Cress; his wife Gwen Gettins; his children, Tina Bacon, Edward Stephens Gettins (Jennifer), Loretta Cole (Martin), Craig Robert Gettins and Wayne Gettins (Angela); and his siblings, Margaret Hoopes and Richard Patrick Gettins. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
