She was predeceased by: her husband Russell Hooks; her daughter Tammy Hooks; her grandson Rusty Strickland; her parents, Roy Sconyers and Thelma Williams Sconyers; and her siblings, Rhonda Powell, Roy Lendy Sconyers and Thomas Roy Sconyers.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Hooks of Uvalda, Lisa Kerr (Mike) of Hazlehurst, Eric Hooks (Lori) of Hazlehurst and Diane McGahee Caraway of Vidalia; and her brother Billy Sconyers (Donnalene) of Vidalia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
