He was predeceased by: his son Mark Baxter; and his granddaughter Jennifer Marie Baxter. He is survived by: his wife Joan Nichols Baxter; his sons, Richard Baxter of Hendersonville, NC, Brad Baxter (Tammy) of Karnack, TX and Jeff Baxter (Patty) of Buford, GA; and his sister Gwendolyn Crouse of Kettering, Ohio.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
