He was predeceased by: his wife Doty Sims; his brother Jerry Sims; and his parents, Howard Sims and Catherine Sims. He is survived by: his children, Stacy, Brad Padgett of Cumming, GA, Shannon and Kerry Skelton of Buford, GA; his grandchildren, Caleb Padgett, Clay Padgett and Kadie Skelton; his brother Mike; his sisters-in-law, Lisa Moore of Snellville, GA and Martha Sims of Talking Rock, GA; and his cousin Robin Lohman of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church on The Hill, in memory of Doug Sims.
