It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeannette Gooch Freeman Cruse of Buford, Georgia, who passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Gooch and Louise Jones Gooch; her daughter Melinda Freeman Stancel; her granddaughter Natalie Stancel; and her sister Barbara Gooch.
She is survived by: her husband Vernard N. Cruse; her children, Sharon Freeman Tice and Steve Freeman (Denise); her grandchild Chris Freeman (Angie); her son-in-law Dennis Stancel; her stepdaughters, Karen Cruse Hunter, Kellie Cruse Brown and Amanda Cruse Smith; her brother Kenneth Gooch (Robbie) of Buford, GA; and her aunts, Lucy Jones Hutchins of Buford, GA, Shirley Porter Jones of Sugar Hill, GA and Jannean Moore Jones of Buford, GA. She is also survived by children; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
