He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Strode; his children, Jeri Ann Peevy (Mitch) of Buford, GA, James Michael McWard (Donna) of Athens, AL and Jane Marie Hunter (Rodney) of Buford, GA.; his grandchildren, Matthew Wayne Peevy (Erica) of Buford, GA, Brittney Peevy Black (J. D.) of Dunwoody, GA, William Andrew Hunter of Big Sur, CA, Benjamin Ryan Hunter (Andrea) of Freeport, FL, Robert Daniel Hunter of Buford, GA, Triston Michael McWard of Athens, AL and Brandon Casey McWard of Austin, TX.; his great grandchildren, Adaline, Miller, Avery, Andrew and Eloise; and his sister Patricia Rear of Champaign, IL.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Buford First United Methodist Church Building Fund, in memory of Wayne.
