She was predeceased by: her parents, William Proctor and Sarah Carey; and her husband Elam Whitby. She is survived by: her children, Donald Whitby (Debbie), Wayne Whitby, Rita Whitby and Sara Whitby; her grandchildren, Eric Gooding, Misty Gooding and Phillip Whitby (Sarah); and her great grandchild Ellie Whitby.

Due to COVID-19 a private graveside service to honor her life, will be held in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jerry Doughtery officiating.
