She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Garland, Sr. and Lois Garland; her significant other Earl Johnson; her brother Richard Garland Jr.; her half-brother Terry Garland; her aunt Sara Jane Gurley; her uncle Walker Cal Butler Jr.; her grandparents, Leo, Walter Butler Sr., Ola and James Garland; and her great-nephew Keith Cook.
She is survived by: her siblings, Margaret Garland, Ruby Harrison of Cairo Georgia, Sarah Wilson of Tampa Florida and Bobby Garland (Amita) of Tampa, Florida; her aunts, Hattie Helms (Odell) of Tampa Florida and Ocie Butler of Tampa Florida; her uncle O. C. Gurley of Reno Georgia; her half-siblings, Shirley Garland of Cairo Georgia, Patricia Garland of Hollywood Florida, David Garland, Lavon Garland and Yentile Stinson of Cairo Georgia; and her close friends, Wille Mall Smart, Willine Taylor, Rosa Gurley and Yvette Sutton (Earnest). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
