It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sally Gasper Mathis of Cairo, Georgia, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on June 27, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, LaVerne W. Anderson and Leda Picard Anderson. She is survived by: her husband James L. Mathis; her children, Kristen Henderson of Pelham, Teresa Persing (Gregg) of Pelham and Whitney Mathis (Kelly) of Winter Garden; and her grandchildren, Lauren Godwin (Chris), Ryan Edwards, Stephen Edwards, Chad Persing (Stacie), Sarah Joyner, Warren Persing (Sara), Kyle Persing, Ava Mathis, Tim Mathis and Ryan Mathis. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
