Dodson of Cairo, Georgia, born in Decatur, Georgia, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson Truell Dodson and Virgieleen Mills Dodson. He is survived by: his wife Alice Shores Dodson of Cairo; his siblings, Archie Dodson of Havana, Florida and Linda Kay Griffin (James) of Bainbridge, Georgia; his nieces and nephews, Berry Dodson (Tracy) of Cairo, William Dodson (Kim) of Calvary, James Everett Griffin (Stephanie) of Alapaha, Mary Elizabeth Weir (Harvey) of Panama City and Krista Carmichael (Lee) of Panama City; and his pet Lil Bit. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews; and his constant companion.
In accordance with State of Georgia guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing and to wear protective masks.
