She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Veston Kirby and Sally Viola Timms Kirby; her husband Willard Childers; and her brothers, JB Kirby and Arnold Kirby.
She is survived by: her children, Adam Childers (Sarah), Brian Childers (Erin) and Susan Santizo (Jose); her grandchildren, Allie Childers, Taylor Secrest, Trevor Childers, Lexi Childers, Scarlett Santizo and Liam Santizo; her siblings, Eddie Kirby, Rickey Kirby (Joyce), Odessa Davis (LC), Joyce Franklin and Brenda Childers (Dennis); and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Kirby, Elizabeth Kirby, Karen Kirby and Kenneth Childers (Jane).
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (535 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Philadelphia Baptist Church.
