He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Young and Mattie Young; his children, Dennis W. Young, Sandy Gail Young, Charles M. Young and Charlene Rutledge; his grandchildren, Kayla Young, Matthew Rutledge and Kevin Chambers; and his brothers, Dennis Young and Thomas Young.
He is survived by: his wife Sue P. Young; his children, Yvonne J. Hawkins, Carl "Red" Young, Oscar Young (Sue), Arthur Young (Diane), Mark Young and Jason Young (Christine); and his sister Mary Goley. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
