He is survived by: his wife Shirley Childers; his children, Travis Childers (Kim) and Rhonda Mulkey (Randy); his stepchildren, Danny Ezell, Matt Ezell (Lisa) and Teresa Hendrix (John Prince); his grandchildren, Drew Childers, Cody Mulkey and Seth Childers (Jessica); his sister Betty Spencer; and his adoptive son Wayne Yancey. He is also survived by two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
