With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elwood W. Roix of Canton, Georgia, born in Presque Isle, Maine, who passed away on February 1, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Roix and Cassie Adams Roix; his wife Louisa "Ann" Bentley Roix; his grandson Joey Roix; his brother Linwood Roix; and his siblings-in-law, Ester Shaw Roix, Francis Burnette and Peter McKay.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Roix (Bonnie) of Wilkesboro, Rev. William "Bill" Roix (Mary) of Greenbush, Janice "Jan" Levinge (Dennis) of Canton, Georgia, Steven Roix (Sheryl) of Sugarhill, Rev. Lawrence Roix (Betty Jo) of Livermoore Falls and Deborah Dickinson (Dana) of Ft. Fairfield, Maine; his sisters, Barbara Roix Burnette, Opal Roix Marquis (Roger) and Patty Roix McKay; and his grandchildren, Scott Roix, Vicky Roix Townsend, Jason Churchill, Jennifer Churchill Bailey, Shelly Roix, Jerdon Bennett, Nathaniel Roix, Heidi Roix Sage, Jonathan Roix, Douglas Juckes and Kristy Larley Cairns. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
