“I never encouraged his drug use. I encouraged him to go to meetings and stay sober. You wouldn’t know that because you’re too busy attacking me for us to have a normal conversation. As anyone who is familiar with addiction knows, you can’t control another person’s drug use. He actually went silent on me a lot when he was using. But, he always knew I would never judge him, so he was brutally honest about what he used and how often. If I regret and feel guilty and devastated about anything, its”

“That I ended things in 2010. I truly believe Jim would still be sober and alive if I wouldn’t have ended our relationship back then. His arrest records show things got bad after we broke up. I wish I could go back in time and change things because he is my soul mate and best friend. I will have to live with these realities forever.”
