She was predeceased by: her parents, Vint Kirk and Bertha Hicks Kirk; her husband Eddie Smith; her brothers, Glenn (Fay Kirk) and Harold (Virginia Kirk); and her grandson Derek Kirk.

She is survived by: her children, Vince Smith (Kelly) and Sharon Hamby (Bill); her sisters, Sharlene Halsey (Roy) and Christine Knight (Jim); and her grandchildren, Cason Smith, Zach Smith, Dalton Hamby, Laura Hamby and Brittany Higgins.
