He was predeceased by: his parents, W. M. "Bill" Cummings and Laura Lane Cummings; and his daughter Mary Christy Cummings of Atlanta, GA.. He is survived by: his wife Peggy L. Cummings of Canton, GA; his children, Tara L. Cambardella (William) of Birmingham, AL, Laura C. Anderson (Douglas) of Moneta, Virginia and William M. Cummings II (Teresa) of Dunwoody, GA; his sister Kathryn C. Davis of Ormond Beach, FL; and his nephew Christopher Hampton (Nina) of Canton, GA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
