He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Thomas and Patsy Sue Platt. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher (Amanda Platt), Daniel Thomas Platt of Atlanta and Michael Donovon Platt; his brother Alan Douglas; his sister-in-law Robyn Platt of Franklin; and his sisters, Darlene (Ron Wallace) and Denise Lavender of Canton. He is also survived by four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
