He was predeceased by: his mother Mattie Mae Brown Haynes. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sullens Haynes of Carnesville; his daughter Anita; his son-in-law David Hightower of Waynesville, NC; his children, Mark Grizzle of Lula, Chrissy Ayers of Waynesville, NC and Amanda; his son-in-law Tom Kennedy of LaGrange, GA; and his father Y. D. Haynes.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 4, 2020 from 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. Due to the current pandemic this will be a drop in visitation with a maximum of 10 people in the parlor at any time.
