He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Batzinger and Gretel Batzinger; his sister Betty Simon; his parent-in-law Henry Bass; and also Kate Bass.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Bass Batzinger (Ginny); his children, Brenda Nelson and Brant Batzinger; his daughter-in-law Torri Batzinger; his grandchildren, Aubrey Batzinger, Kaden Batzinger and Sierra Rose (Patrick Rose); his great grandchild Jamie Rose; and his sister-in-law Rubye O'Brien. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
