It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lindsey of Cartersville, Georgia, born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William David Hammonds and Virginia Lulabell Rodgers Hammonds; and her brothers, Roger Hammonds and Charles Wayne Hammonds. She is survived by: her children, Carol Veley and Larry Lindsey; the father of her children Dewayne Lindsey; her grandchildren, Brittany Veley, Dannielle Veley, Briana Lindsey and Braxton Lindsey; her great grandchildren, Gracie Ballard, Dylan Lindsey, Osem Lindsey, Bryson Lindsey and Brenleigh Lindsey; and her siblings, Lee Hammonds, Danny Hammonds, Brenda McClure, Syble Hammonds and Scottie Hammonds. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
