He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Malphrus of Surfside Beach; and his children, Burton Lavon "Von" Malphrus, II of Jackson, MS and Nancy Malphrus Neal of Bardstown, KY. He is also survived by three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
