She was predeceased by: her parents, Elder Ellis and Farrest Geneva Wilkins Ellis; her husband McKinley "Cowboy" Pruitt, Jr.; her stepson Carlton Morgan; her siblings, Joann Ellis Sullivan, Clifford and Warren Darnell Ellis; her granddaughter Hilary Hobbs; her nephews, Lanier and Ralph Ellis; and her son-in-law Douglas Tatum.
She is survived by: her children, Kimmie P. Wade, Regina P. Tatum, Aretha Pruitt–McClure (Cedric) and McKinley Pruitt, III; her grandchildren, Misty Stephens, LaToya Stephens, O'Neal Hendricks, Jr. (Chariah), Heidi Hobbs, McKenze and McKinley Pruitt, IV; her great grandchildren, Kelsei Ross, Skylar, Shanning, Shamar, Skarlett Hendricks and Mariah Brown; her brothers, Elder Elmer Ellis (Eloise), Willie and Braynard Ellis; and her nieces and nephews, Clifford Ellis, II, Daryl, Andy Sullivan, Desmond, Dorian Ellis, Edward King, Greg Smith, Emily, Danielle Ellis and Jessica King.
