It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Charlene Payne Hendrix of Cartersville, Georgia, born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on September 15, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Payne and Betty Ralston Payne; her stepfather John Mandragouras; and her brother William "Dwight" Payne. She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Hendrix Owen (Eric) and Rachel Hendrix Willis; her grandchildren, Jacob Willis and Madilynn Owen; her brother Rodney Payne; her sister-in-law Janice Payne; her nieces and nephews, Matthew Payne, Patrick Collum (Joey), Amelia Payne, Emmaline Payne and Addison Payne; and her great-nieces, Harper Collum, Elliot Collum and Addison Barnes.
Due to COVID-19, the family will hold a private Celebration of Charlene's life Saturday, October 2, 2021 with private graveside service following in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery in the Sonoraville Community.
