He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Andrew Simpson and Margaret Fowler Simpson; his son Eddie Simpson; and his brother Wayne Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Edna N. Simpson; his children, Marty Simpson (Christy) of Adairsville and Lori Hight (Adam) of Cartersville; his sisters, Janette Mundy of Cartersville, Joyce Duck of Dallas, Brenda Melton of Cartersville and Linda McFarland; and his grandchildren, Jacob Simpson, Grace Jarnagin, Drew Simpson, Ansley Hight, Andrew Buttram and Lucas Simpson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
