It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Townsend of Cartersville, Georgia, who passed away on September 8, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cicero J. Townsend and Cora Bell Gossett Townsend; and his siblings, Richard Townsend, Junior Townsend, Herbert Townsend, J. C. Townsend, Walter Townsend, Mary Oveline Hudson of Bartow County and Allie B. Adams of Bartow County.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Townsend; his sons, Donny Townsend (Mary) and Ron Townsend (Bambi); his grandchildren, Jessica Townsend McGill (Dell), Jill Townsend, Zach Townsend, Haley Townsend and Zoey Townsend; and his great grandchildren, Blake, Emalie and Aaliyah McGill.
