He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Padgett and Ida Mae Newton Padgett; and his siblings, Virginia Kuglar, Allie Mae Welborn, Robert Padgett and Clyde Padgett.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Maddox Padgett; his children, David Padgett (Jennifer), Scott Padgett (Keisha), Cheryl Padgett (Norcross), Rebecka Dunn (Dan), Penny Shireman (Mike), Vanessa Gibson (Randy) and Shelby Padgett (Coby); and his pet Nicholas. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 10 1/2 great-grandchildren.
