She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Myrtice Emmett Piper and Grover Cleveland Piper; her husband John Carter Hood (Jack); her daughters, Jackie Hood Landrum, Karen Johnson (Ross) and Kathy Carr (Barry); and her son-in-law Steve Landrum. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
