She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Carlton Newsome and Pauline Strickland Newsome; her husband Charlie Shadrick; her son Skip Shadrick; and her brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Newsome.
She is survived by: her children, Van Shadrick (Sandy), Paula Shadrick and Glenn Shadrick (Reggie); her grandchildren, Brandon Shadrick, Megan Shadrick, Tabitha Lewis, Ryan Shadrick and Zachary Higginbotham; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Raine Shadrick, Gavin Shadrick and Lucian Delgado; and her sister Diana Newsome Wood (Ben). She is also survived by aunt, uncles, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
