With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gordon A Lovett Sr. (Cedartown, Georgia), who passed away on August 9, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mellie Faith Legg and James Sevedge Lovett; his siblings, James Lovett and Camelia Joyner; and his grandchildren, Daniel Vann Davis, Samuel Matthew Whaley and Jenifer Marie Whaley.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Therese Lovett (Bickett); his children, Fay Dollar (Angela MacDonald), Gordon Ackley Lovett Jr. (Renee Jenkins), Beth Davis (Jimmy), Gregory Lovett and Leslie Robinson (Gerrard Lovett); and his sister Mellie Faith Lowther. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions made in his memory to St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 100 Evergreen Ln, Cedartown, GA. 30125.
