He was predeceased by: his parents, James Waitsel and Johnnie Sue Moss. He is survived by: his wife Liz Hulsey; his children, Bubba (Buffey Hulsey), Ringo Hulsey of Cedartown, Susan (Richard Crawford) and Nancy Hulsey of Rockmart; and his grandchildren, Dakota (Hambone), Nate (Nate), Lexi (Butterball) and Dom.
