It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Elaine Swanson Whorton of Cedartown, Georgia, who passed away on March 21, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Gordon Swanson; and her husband Bob Whorton of Guntersville. She is survived by: her son-in-law Shelly (Donny Shumate); her grandchildren, Grant Shumate of Dunwoody and Lauryn Kracala (Kevin) of Canton; her brother-in-law Steve Chatman (Beverly) of Medina; and her close friends, Patti Kean, Stacey Mobbs, Carla Welch, Jade Watson and Jessie Smith. She is also survived by several cousins and close friends.
