Vurla Thornton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vurla Thornton of Cedartown, Georgia, who passed away on April 22, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Riley Allen and Ollie Mae Ingram Mullinax; and her husband William Ernie Thornton. She is survived by: her son Butch Thornton (Laura); her grandchildren, Erin Morgan (Tyler), Jessie Stewart (Mark), Mitchell Thornton (Darra), Abbye Thornton (Colby), Emmalee Jakubiak and Mason Jakubiak; and her great grandchildren, Laykn, Liam, Baizlee, Parker, McKinlee, Sawyer, Teegan, Ayda and Legend.
In accordance with the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the CDC, social distancing guidelines will be in place as well as the use of masks required for all services provided for Mrs. Thornton.
The family is accepting flowers; however, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Cedartown Choir, 101 North College Street, Cedartown, Georgia, 30125.
